I remember as a young child read a bible picture book story of the riders of the Apocalypse and the victor, presumably Jesus, riding a white hosre with a flaming sword coming out of his mouth. I only had a vague understanding of what the picture meant then, and things haven't improved that much four decades later. Nevertheless it's a Boy's Own story of hope, that one day evil will be routed and and there will be healing among the nations.
